ROME, NY – APRIL 8, 2025: AmeriCU Credit Union has introduced a loan program designed to support those who are purchasing their first vehicle. This First-Time Car Buyer Loan offers flexible terms and a simple three-step application process, without the need for a co-borrower.

“AmeriCU understands how important it is to have reliable transportation, whether it be to go to work, school, or just to build independence. But limited credit history or no credit history can create barriers to meeting those basic needs,” said Ron Belle, AmeriCU’s President and CEO. “That’s why AmeriCU created the First-Time Car Buyer Loan Program, to make car ownership more accessible, less overwhelming, and a tool for building financial independence while establishing credit, often for the first time.”

The First-Time Car Buyer loan is available to qualifying AmeriCU Credit Union members who may have little to no credit history. With loans up to $28,000 and flexible terms, this program is designed to meet members where they are. With a simple online application and straightforward and supportive process, buyers will be able to shop for their first car with confidence.

AmeriCU Credit Union remains committed to helping members take meaningful steps toward financial wellness, no matter where they are in their financial journey. To learn more about the program, visit www.americu.org.
