RALEIGH, N.C. (March 19, 2025) – Coastal Credit Union has installed a new dual-function, drive-up interactive teller machine (ITM) located in the parking lot of the Widewaters Commons shopping center at 4001 Widewaters Parkway in Knightdale.
“Knightdale is one of the fastest-growing towns in NC and is among the top areas where members have requested a Coastal presence,” said Tyler Grodi, Coastal’s President & CEO. “With a drive-up ITM, we can complement branch coverage by adding teller service in locations that are convenient for members. We have more than 10,000 members living within five miles of the Knightdale ITM.”
An ITM is unique in that it can provide both live video teller service from a Coastal employee, and also functions as an ATM. It is available for teller service for Coastal members from 7 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week. Anyone can use it for ATM service at any time.
Coastal pioneered video teller systems in the early 2000s and in 2011 was the first financial institution in the world to implement the technology for 100% of teller transactions.
