LOS ANGELES, CA (April 10, 2025) — My First Nest Egg, an award-winning financial education company for kids and families, is excited to announce its partnership with First City Credit Union, a member-owned financial institution serving Los Angeles County employees and their families since 1937. This collaboration will provide engaging financial education materials—articles, videos, printables, and fun activities—to help teach children essential money skills.

As part of this initiative, First City Credit Union will also be gifting these resources to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), ensuring that more kids have access to interactive and engaging financial literacy tools.

“We know that building good money habits starts early, and our goal is to make financial education fun and accessible for families,” said My First Nest Egg CEO, Nicolle Hood. “First City Credit Union is taking a proactive step in helping their youngest members and their families build a strong financial foundation.”

First City Credit Union is committed to supporting its members and their families with resources that promote financial well-being. By providing expertly crafted youth financial education materials, they are helping parents introduce key money concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

“Our mission has always been to serve the employees of Los Angeles County and their families with financial solutions that improve their lives,” said Nav Khanna, President and CEO of First City Credit Union. “This partnership allows us to extend that mission by equipping parents with the tools they need to teach financial literacy at home in a fun and meaningful way.”

In celebration of Credit Union Youth Month this April, First City Credit Union will also be making My First Nest Egg’s Stellar Savings activity available to young members and their families. This fun, space-themed financial education program teaches kids the value of saving and planning for the future through interactive and engaging materials. The Stellar Savings resources will be available in branches and online, providing families with a great way to start conversations about money in a way that’s both exciting and educational.
