PSCU Receives Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award

CUSO recognized among the most engaged workplace cultures globally by top analytics firm

St. Petersburg, Fla. — (March 29, 2023) — PSCU, the nation’s premier payments credit union service organization (CUSO) and an integrated financial technology solutions provider, has received the 2023 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA). This prestigious award recognizes companies with the most engaged workplace cultures in the world. This announcement comes on the heels of PSCU being named to the Forbes list of America’s Best Midsize Employers 2023.

Gallup, a global analytics and advisory firm, presents the GEWA annually, with PSCU being one of only 57 organizations worldwide to receive the award this year. The designation is the result of a comprehensive meta-analysis of workplace survey data representing two million employees from 276 organizations across 54 industries and 96 countries. To qualify to apply for the GEWA, companies must achieve the highest levels of employee engagement. PSCU ranks in the 97th percentile of all companies surveyed by Gallup.

“Receiving the 2023 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award is a tremendous honor and a testament to our employees’ hard work, engagement and embodiment of the credit union philosophy of 'people helping people,’” said Chuck Fagan, president and CEO of PSCU. “I am proud of the entire PSCU team for their contributions in making this achievement possible, as well as their commitment to advancing PSCU’s mission to empower credit unions.”

PSCU's strengths-based company culture of support, encouragement and success is reflected in its employer brand "Our Momentum. Your Moment." which was created and launched in 2020. The brand encapsulates the CUSO’s commitment to supporting its industry-leading staff in seizing opportunities that impact both the company and employees’ careers.

“At PSCU, our goal is to empower our employees to reach their full potential and help others around them succeed," said Lynn Heckler, EVP, chief talent officer at PSCU. "This award reflects the strength of PSCU's culture and core values, which have enabled our team members to navigate changing workplace dynamics over the past three years, including many employees transitioning to remote or hybrid roles. As PSCU continues to grow and evolve, we are excited to continue fostering a highly engaged workforce.”

GEWA winners’ ratio of engaged employees to actively disengaged employees is 16 times higher than the international average. Highly engaged organizations significantly outperform their peers in important business outcomes, including customer ratings, profitability, productivity, turnover, safety incidents, shrinkage, absenteeism, quality, wellbeing and organizational citizenship.

“Gallup’s 2023 GEWA winners prove that even during some of the most challenging times, strong cultures are resilient and find new ways to get work done and meet customer needs,” said Jim Harter, chief scientist of workplace management and wellbeing at Gallup. “These organizations continue to make employee engagement a central cultural priority as part of their business strategy, and they maintain record levels of employee engagement while achieving or exceeding their business goals.”
