The Oregonian Names First Tech Federal Credit Union A Winner of The Oregon and Southwest Washington Top Workplaces 2024 Award

SAN JOSE, Calif. and HILLSBORO, Ore. — October 18, 2024 — First Tech Federal Credit Union (First Tech) has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2024 honor by The Oregonian Top Workplaces. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including: employees feel respected and supported, are enabled to grow and empowered to execute, to name a few.

“It’s such an honor to be recognized by The Oregonian Top Workplaces for another year,” said First Tech Chief People and Administrative Officer Monique Little. “This recognition is a testament to our continual efforts to create a culture of belonging where our employees feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. As a credit union, we strive to help our members achieve their financial dreams, and we do the same for our employees via programs and initiatives that foster engagement and support them in their personal and professional aspirations. We are proud to be a diverse workplace where we encourage and celebrate each other to do our best work.”

For more than 70 years, First Tech has been committed to valuing the unique talents of all employees, fostering empathy and candor, and creating a culture of inclusivity where individuals can thrive. By combining a start-up's entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility with the resources and reputation of a well-established institution, First Tech has fostered a positive workplace that allows all to feel welcomed, respected, and supported. This environment inspires and motivates First Tech employees to help the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators thrive.

"Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees," said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. "That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they're allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends."

The Oregonian's Top Workplaces is in its 13th year and recognizes employers in Oregon and southwest Washington who go above and beyond in providing great places to work.
